mood: uninterested

music: 'fade into you' by mazzy star

well, i'm a bit relieved. i managed to grind out that paper and those revisions too. the parable of the mustard seed as presented in matthew's gospel is not a very engaging topic. i think i'll manage to fool my teacher, though.

all that's left is to wing the psych test. psychological disorders. that means all we've been doing in class is discussing antisocial serial killers like jeffrey dahmer and ted bundy. i think i've enough of a grip to write a decent essay tomorrow. we'll see.

oh, and remember that poem i posted last month? i've decided to title it 'Glassy Tears' since it's one of the only images i used. i find my poetry can be overly cathartic and lacking in imagery. so i wrote this:

Blue Notes

The saxophone’s blue notes
Dip into a brown tea bag
And spill across my canvas,
Its smoke-tinged voice screaming
From between the frames
Of slow motion pictures.

Hastily retreating into a sound silence
Just as golden as the day it was born.
Like melted ice cream on the concrete floor.

other than that, i've got nothing else, really. a bit of an uncomfortable haze around my head, that's all. and just like most semi-serious students, i'm dreading finals but keeping on track for the sake of the winter break. that's all i really need right now: cold weather and no school.
