mood: worried music: 'undertow' by lush

i've just learned that the 5th largest earthquake since 1900 (8.9 richter) happened last night off the coast of sumatra, the island north of java, where all my relatives live. apparently there was also a tsunami, and the death toll is nearly 10,000. i'm still pending word from some of my relatives, more specifically my deported aunt who lives in the capital, jakarta. java wasn't in direct line with the epicenter, so there's a better chance my worries are false. still, i'd like to hear from them soon.
