today is the birthday of one of my old-ish friends. she would be considered a new friend since i've only known her in high school, but we haven't really spoken too much since she went to san diego for college. i already tried giving her a call to say 'happy birthday' but got her machine, which at least let me know i still know her number. anyways, i ended up leaving what sounded to me like a very awkward sounding message. whatever. i suppose at the very minimum it gets the point across.

last night was freakin cold. allison, andrea, and the regulars and i spent the start of the evening at allison's brother's birthday party. there we were seen as the older, weirder, less mainstream kids, so it was a lot like being back at school.

later on, kristy joined us and we all went to allison's grandma's house, which was a few blocks away. the house was very german and reminded me of a ski lodge, what with the weather and all. antiques decorated the walls and shelves, such as a nickel slot machine i had fun with for a while.

anyways, after a while i decided to brave the cold front to play a game on the outdoor pool table. the movie they were watching wasn't very good anyway. it was a very uneventful evening, but not unenjoyable. still, there was something biting at my heels.

tomorrow, i start school again. i need to talk to the head of class registration because i need another fine arts class to qualify for the u.c. school system. other than that i can say that i have completely shirk all of my ap french 4 responsibilities. i was supposed to do 20 sentences a week starting 6 weeks ago, and i have yet to do one. i'll probably work on doing at least one today, but knowing me, i'll probably give up after a few minutes of distractions. i wonder what madame cane is going to do to me.
