One more from me, just realizing I have now thanked you twice for your comment. Brain lapses.
I am in a small town called Sattahip, still in Thailand, now staying for a few days with a couple and their baby. Yesterday marked the start of the three-day new year holiday where everyone throws water at each other. I had no watergun to counterattack with. It felt really nice though, it's crazy hot.
I didn't want to go to my prom at all, but I went to it and to another one as well. I must say it was all a bit dull, though I like dancing. For the second prom, my boyfriend got me this ridiculous corsage with seven roses because he felt outdone by our friend from the previous prom, who had gotten his date a three-rose one while I had only recieved some paltry something or other that had been fine with me, corsages are so retro seeming anyway.
your thanks find me at a thanks-thirsty time. my schedule is leaving and will be leaving me unmotivated during the day for the next few days.
otherwise, i can honestly say 7 roses on a corsage is so ridiculously unimaginable, i find it hard not to at least feel a smirk crawl across my face.
i went to bangkok sometime near the beginning of middle school with my parents. i remember most prominently the heat, a great open-air market, and having to dodge all the motorcycle taxis zooming around with their payloads of tourists. nothing too spectacular for me, but i did only visit one city and only for about 2 or 3 days.
my dad once proposed doing what you are doing now: traveling around asia and staying with families instead of hotels or hostels. back then it sounded kinda drab to me, but it seems like you're having a great time. perhaps it's something to reconsider.

I hope you are enjoying everything.
