mood: captive and tragic
music: 'hallelujah' by jeff buckley
romantic
i watched
you as you and me as me
and us as us as we forgot them
graciously withered in the sand like dust sculptures in the wind
withered like i do
from head to toe in unblinking rays
shivering from the crown of my head
to the shaking soles of my feet
i watched
as i waited to the same old song
hated the same old dance
messed up dressed up
in the same old one and two
captured in the window as a one way black and blue
i watched
myself
mutilated castrated
and under no circumstances innovative
with what my words would sadly do
i watched
as you watched
and saw it all unfold
the way we never knew it would
the way we said it never should
because we never thought we could
because we never thought we could
i watched
the gleaming smiles of yesteryear
hardened into our teeth and faces
without a gift or a clue
as to what it is we should never do
it exists to make me shudder
to think and to play through
and there's nothing more that i want
except to die happy
decades away in the future of today
knowing that for once i got through to you
and made you smile or made you frown
and made you think that maybe i'm not the one playing the fool
because i never thought it would get any better
because i never thought it could get any better
because i never thought it should get any better
than to lay in dreams as the one tortured
but as the one who still never wants to leave
singing songs romantic
saying words romantic
bleeding blood romantic
softly sighing romantic

hello goei,
ca va? have you considered that this could be set to a rap beat and that it could sound great with instrumentation that is beyond the usual quality that accompanies rap?
or am i just bored at my current job?
