music: 'the long day is over' by norah jones

i often wonder, do you readers out there ever listen to the songs i listen to when i'm writing these entries? i don't expect anyone to search for songs that are overly obscure or even ones that they just don't have. maybe if there's that one file buried behind your vocal jazz files, next to a folder of, perhaps, a queen song or two, huddled deep within the dusty dungeon of your barry manilow greatest hits album. often times, when the rather blatant first line titled "mood: _____" gets a bit too cryptic for even the most seasoned angsty poet, a quick listen to the ambience my musical choice clears things up rather well. maybe you could even find a song or two add to your daily playlist, if not to the one-song ever-repeating playlist that is your mind if i pick a song that's catchy enough. then again i'm not making any promises. even the most cathartic chorus can fall short of what may seem like the simplest emotion to me. still, if it's not too much of an effort, give a listen or two. anything to help you understand what i'm feeling. that's part of why i write here anyway, isn't it?

I have to admit, I have never listened to the songs you list in your posts :> If I get myself set up with Napster or another unlimited streaming music service, I may go for it, though.
