ok so maybe i can't possibly be listening to that song because a hard copy doesn't exist, but it's been stuck in my head for the last few hours, so it counts dammit.
anyways, i got home tonight and prepared for the usual supreme detente with a hot beverage. i've been working a lot recently on writing of the lyrical kind, but tonight i didn't feel like working, so i didn't. then as i made my way to the shower for the evening's conclusion, i spotted a three envelopes with my name on them. it's not everyday i get mail, so i sat down and opened them.
the first two were from oberlin college in ohio and had information on my application and financial aid, respectively. the last one was a behemoth of an envelope with a big book inside from evergreen in washington state. i opened it and saw the first sheet. it read: 'CONGRATULATIONS!' in very elaborate cursive handwriting. well, you know what that means. i got accepted. (please excuse my lack of exclamation points, i'm not in the mood to use them.)
but not only did i get accepted, did i find out as i read the letter. it turns out i've already been offered a $1,200 tuition waiver, which is just super. though it may not be enough to pay for sending me up there, it's definitely an ego booster that i've been accepted so early and with a guarantee on some scholarly money.
thus ends a portion of my college anxiety. the rest lies in both ucla and bigger bucks in the financial aid sections.
speaking of school, i start school again very soon and that sucks. (non-sequitor alert!)

hey congratulations. washington seems way better than ohio and i have been to both.
do you know why my comments, but no one else's on the blogs i see, have the trashcan icon next to them (for deleting purposes i know, but it looks kinda trashy), and how to stop that from happeing?
oh, talking about school after talking about university follows quite rationally i think.
oh the trashcan thingy appears on your own blog because as the administrator you can delete any inappropriate comments at your leisure. no one else sees them but you if you're logged in. no worries.
