mood: tired music: 'out in the blue' by pacific uv

i've got a splitting headache the size of montana right now, and it can't seemed to be phased by coffee and/or cigarettes and/or aspirin and/or mazzy star, so i'm doing my best to ride it out. with poor results. give me a break. long day.

today, my boss talked to me right before he left. he asked how i was doing, and it started off as an amiable exchange; my boss likes me, and once referred to me as 'the little brother he wished he had'. then the conversation turns to the topic of work. right now i'm doing 3 boxes (1200 lids) on average a day. it's the off-season, and demand has fallen, so i'm taking it easy. during the holiday season, i was doing 4 (1600) and things were peachy keen. today, j'étais fatigué, so i only did 2 3/8 boxes (950 lids). my boss wants me to push 6 a day now. in the off-season. within 4 hours. after school. *high-pitched noise*

monday night the vagues pressed a 3 song demo, recorded using wavelab in sergio's room. the recordings were sans drums and there were numerous mistakes, which i would normally re-record, but i did my best to play the part of not perfectionist. the vocals i recorded separately, and they were too loud, but i let it go. after all, it's a big first step, and i don't want to trump it with obsessions. i'll post it as soon as i can figure out how to post mp3s on here.
