i just got finished watching the movie 'i <3 huckabees'. (and that, my friends, is the first and last time you will ever see me use an emoticon.) what an intense film.

the questions and answers in the film were things i had pondered before, since i studied a bit of existentialism a few months ago. they're very odd questions, and the cast of 'i less than three huckabees' presents them immaculately by following through with the eccentricities of the stereotypical modern philosopher. the cluelessness of the protagonist equally fuels the audience's mind-bending trip through existential space and time. the problem, though, is the herculean chunk of solid psychobabble.

it's a bit wordy and a little confusing. actually it's really wordy and extremely confusing. if you've never thought of or questioned your own existence before, you will easily get lost watching this movie. you'll either be amused by the neurotic chit-chat or utterly annoyed by the denseness of the dialogues. still, despite the complexities of the script, the movie is genuinely funny, and i found myself giggling like a maniac throughout the entire thing.

honestly, a new favorite of mine, but go see it only if you don't have ADD.
