music: 'amazing grace' by john newton
i just had one of the most amazing dreams ever.
the setting was like st. jerome school but with a gateway that led to loyola's track/gym/pool. i was on the second floor of a convertible double decker bus with 3 other loyola students on the far endzone watching the filming of a commercial or a movie. we were dressed in graduates' robes. the audience and cast were mostly black, so we stuck out.
finally, they had gotten the shot they needed, and all that was left was the closing, which was a version of 'amazing grace'. as soon as they started singing, the bus must've started going a thousand miles per hour across the grass. in the middle of the field, it slid around and made a 180 just before going through the gate and past an insane amount of blurry buildings. once past the corridor, the driver tried to turn us around again and drive to the ceremony. apparently, we were extremely late. on the way there, i saw members of my 8th grade graduating class, not my high school class, walking away with champagne bottles and cigars. the bus driver slammed the brakes and turned hard left. my side of the bus was tipping towards the ground, but i wasn't scared. i leaned forward and put my hands up and to the back like a heron. i remember feeling the hot air gushing against my face, all the while with 'amazing grace' playing in the background.
at that point i woke up, panting, but not sweating, and with a huge adrenaline rush.
